안녕하세요 English with Yoo! 의 Jennifer Yoo입니다.
English with Yoo!
I decided to purchase a Tempur-Pedic neck pillow the other week. I already knew that this specific type of pillow gives great comfort and support for your head, neck and shoulders. But I also found out that there is something very important that I need to know and keep in mind if I purchase this pillow. Let’s find out what advice the sales associate gave me.
Today’s phrase is ‘keep (~) in mind’. Listen carefully.
To keep (something / someone) in mind
Sales associate: The cooler it gets, the firmer these get.
Jen: Oh! I didn’t know that.
Sales associate: The warmer it gets, the softer it gets. Your body heat, when you lay on it…that’s what helps conform it you.
Jen: Gotcha! (I got it / I understand it)
Sales associate: But if it’s cold outside and you don’t turn your heat on, this is going to get really firm.
Jen: I guess I will keep that in mind.
Sales associate: And then right above…customer signature please.
Jen: Thank you!
The cooler it gets, the firmer these get. The warmer it gets, the softer it gets
그래서 제가 “I guess I will keep that in mind” 라고 했죠!
If you keep something in mind, you remember the information or advice and consider it at another time.
