안녕하세요 English with Yoo! 의 Jennifer Yoo입니다. English with Yoo!
I’ll give you a daily introduction to some meaningful and useful everyday English words and phrases! So let’s get started today!
To check out / to check (~) out 입니다.In America, we have something called “Take Our Children to Work Day”. Kids get a day off from school and get to follow their mom or dad around at work.
Let’s listen to a conversation I had with Dave and his daughter, Rachel.
To check out / to check out (~)입니다. Listen carefully
To check out / to check (~) out
Jen: So it’s bring your kids to work day, who do you have with you?
Dave: This is my daughter Rachel and her friend Casey.
Jen: What are they doing for today? What do guys have planned?
Rachel & Casey: Umm…not sure!
Jen: Aww…they said they’re not sure. Do you know?
Dave: Yes, they have been on tours and checked out the studios and the radio studios and do some writings and stuff like that.
It was definitely refreshing to see kids in the hallways and lobby of Voice of America.
When I asked what activities they have done or are planning to do, Dave는 ‘they have been on tours and checked out the studios’ 라고 했죠?
To check out / to check (~) out 이죠? ‘To check out / to check (~something) out means to take a look at something, to examine or try something.
To check / C H E C K / out / O U T…to check out 또는 to check (~ something) out은 ‘~에 대해 알아보다 / ~확인해보다/ ~시도해보다’ 라는 뜻입니다.
Let’s listen to the conversation again. Listen carefully.
