You know, every season brings celebrations, family events, and activities for everyone right? Well, people here in America will celebrate the seasons together whether it is with friends or families.

이곳 미국에 있는 사람들은 계절이 변할때마다 그 변화를 즐깁니다. 여러분도 가을을 좋아하신다면 아마 지금쯤 아름다운 북한의 가을을 즐기고 계실지도 모르겠네요.

Something about the fall brings a smile to many Americans. It must be the foliage, hot apple cider, long autumn walks, bonfires, and of course the pumpkins and the season wouldn’t be complete without pumpkin patches right?

가을, 하면 떠오르는 것들은 단풍foliage, 따뜻한 사과 주스hot apple cider, 산책long autumn walks, 장작불bonfires, and of course pumpkins right?그리고 당연히 호박 생각이 나게 되는데요, 미국에서는 호박이 없는 가을은 상상하기 어렵습니다.

You can find the best pumpkin patches and fall festivals all across America. Americans can enjoy family-friendly farm activities and fall harvest season.

미국인들은 가족들과 함께 호박 농장체험등을 하면서 수확의 계절 즐길수 있답니다.

At a pumpkin patch, you can ride a wagon full of hay, feed and pet farm animals, and pick pumpkins. I met Rick, the owner of a pumpkin patch in Northern Virginia, pretty close to where I live in Washington DC, and he said that every visitor to his pumpkin patch leaves smiling and happy! Even if they don’t buy anything! 그럼 제가 릭과 함께 대화것을 함번 들어보실까요?

Rick: People come in and they are always happy. Everyone has a smile on their face. The kids are happy and they get a chance to run around and play some and sometimes people just come in and they visit. They bring their children in here. We let them play around and we thank them for the visit even if they don’t get anything.
릭은 ‘우리 호박 농장을 찾는 분들은 하나같이 행복해합니다. 어떤 사람들은 구경만 하러오고요 어떤 분들은 온 가족과 함께 와서 농장에서 먹고, 놀고, 호박도 사가고 즐거운 시간을 보내고 갑니다. 어린 아이들은 농장에서 신나게 뛰어놀고 장난도치지요. 저는 손님들이 호박이나 다른 것들을 비록 사가지는 않더라도 와주신것만으로도 감사합니다. We thank them for the visit even if they don’t get anything’ 라고 하더라고요.

Even if / E V E N even / I F if / even if는 ‘비록 그럴지라도 / 설사 (~)이라고 할지라도’ 라는 뜻입니다.

Rick 릭은 “We let them play around and we thank them for the visit even if they don’t get anything” 이라고 했죠? even if they don’t get anything.
