[뉴질랜드 외교부] “The meeting underlines the parties’ commitment to diplomacy and dialogue as a means of
encouraging the DPRK to take steps towards complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization.”
뉴질랜드 외교부는 5일 VOA에 보낸 이메일 논평에서, 미-북 정상의 최근 판문점 회동은 북한이 완전하고 검증 가능하며, 돌이킬 수 없는 비핵화 조치를 취할 수 있도록 하기 위한 양국의 외교와 대화에 대한 의지를 보여줬다고 밝혔습니다.
그러면서, 북한이 비핵화에 진전을 보일 경우 경제적 지원을 할 준비가 돼 있다고 말했습니다.
[뉴질랜드 외교부] “New Zealand stands ready to assist North Korea’s economic development if it makes progress towards denuclearization.”
뉴질래드 외교부는 또, 북한의 제재 위반을 막기 위한 국제사회의 노력에 동참하기 위해 지난해 9, 10월 해상초계기를 파견했다며, 올해는 추가 파견 여부를 아직 결정하지 않았지만 협력국들과 긴밀한 소통을 유지하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.
[뉴질랜드 외교부] “Last September/October, New Zealand contributed a P-3 maritime surveillance aircraft as part of coordinated, international efforts in support of UNSC sanctions to detect and deter the DPRK’s illegal STS activity. New Zealand has yet to make any further decisions on contributions this year but we remain in close contact with partners on this issue.”
다국적 연대가 유엔 안보리 결의의 효과적인 이행에 기여하고 있으며, 모든 나라가 안보리 결의를 이행하는 것이 중요하다는 것입니다.
[뉴질랜드 외교부] “The multinational coalition is making a concrete contribution to the effectiveness of UNSC sanctions. It is important that all nations continue to implement UNSCRs as part of broader efforts to encourage DPRK to denuclearize and abandon its nuclear, ballistic missile and other illicit weapons programs.”
뉴질랜드 정부는 안보리 결의 이행에 대해, 북한이 핵과 탄도미사일, 그리고 다른 불법적 무기 프로그램을 폐기하도록 만들기 위한 큰 노력의 일환이라고 밝혔습니다.
