안토니우 구테흐스 유엔 사무총장은 “북한의 대륙간탄도미사일(ICBM) 발사를 강력히 규탄한다”고 밝혔습니다.
스테판 두자릭 대변인은 19일 발표한 성명에서 이같이 전하면서 “(구테흐스) 사무총장은 어떤 추가 도발 행위도 즉각 중단할 것을 북한에 거듭 촉구한다”고 말했습니다.
[유엔 사무총장 대변인] “The Secretary-General strongly condemns the launch of yet another ballistic missile of intercontinental range by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The Secretary-General reiterates his calls on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to immediately desist from taking any further provocative actions, to fully comply with its international obligations under all relevant Security Council resolutions, and to resume dialogue leading to sustainable peace and the complete and verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”
또한 “안전보장이사회 관련 결의에 따른 국제 의무를 완전히 준수하고, 한반도의 지속적인 평화와 완전하고 검증 가능한 비핵화로 이어질 수 있는 대화를 재개할 것을 거듭 촉구한다”고 덧붙였습니다.
앞서 북한은 한반도 시각 18일 평양 순안 일대에서 대륙간탄도미사일(ICBM) ‘화성-15형’을 발사했습니다.
