캐나다·독일·프랑스 “북한 잇단 미사일 발사, 역내 평화와 안전 위협”

캐나다와 독일, 프랑스가 북한의 최근 거듭된 탄도미사일 발사가 역내 평화와 안전을 위협한다고 비판했습니다. 또한 북한에 추가 발사를 자제하고 외교와 협상에 관여할 것을 촉구했습니다. 안소영 기자입니다.

캐나다가 북한의 거듭된 탄도미사일 발사에 우려를 표시했습니다.

[캐나다 외교부]”Canada notes with concern that North Korea has tested four ballistic missiles in 10 days. These flagrant violations of the United Nations Security Council resolutions threaten regional peace and stability. We are working with the international community to maintain sanctions and call on North Korea to engage in diplomacy.”

캐나다 외교부 대변인은 18일 북한의 잇단 미사일 발사에 대한 VOA 논평 요청에 “캐나다는 북한이 지난 10일 동안 4차례 탄도미사일을 시험 발사한 데 대해 우려한다”고 밝혔습니다.

그러면서 “이 같은 명백한 유엔 안보리 결의 위반은 역내 평화와 안정을 위협한다”고 지적했습니다.

이어 “캐나다는 (북한에 대한) 제재를 유지하기 위해 국제사회와 협력하고 있으며, 북한에는 외교에 관여할 것을 촉구한다“고 덧붙였습니다.

독일 외교부도 이날 발표한 대변인 명의 성명에서 북한의 최근 잇단 단거리 탄도미사일 발사를 강력히 규탄한다고 밝혔습니다.

[독일 외교부 성명]”The German Government expressly condemns the most recent series of tests of short-range ballistic missiles by North Korea. Instead of accepting the repeated offers of dialogue put forward by the United States and South Korea, North Korea is hereby once again violating the obligations set out by the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and irresponsibly jeopardising international and regional stability and security.”

그러면서 “북한은 미국과 한국의 거듭된 대화 제안을 받아들이는대신 관련 유엔 안보리 결의들에 따른 의무를 또다시 위반하고, 국제사회와 역내의 안정과 안보를 무책임하게 위태롭게 하고 있다”고 비판했습니다.

독일 외교부는 “북한은 완전하고 검증가능하며 돌이킬 수 없는 방식으로 대량살상무기와 탄도미사일 개발을 완전히 종식할 의무가 있다”고 강조했습니다.

이어 “독일 정부는 북한에 추가적인 시험 발사를 자제하고 안보리 결의를 완전히 지키며 핵과 미사일 프로그램 폐기를 위한 진지한 협상에 나설 것을 촉구한다”고 밝혔습니다.

[독일 외교부 보도자료]” North Korea is bound to the complete, verifiable and irreversible ending of its programmes to develop weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles.The German Government urges North Korea to refrain from further tests, to implement the Security Council decisions in full, as well as to enter into serious negotiations on the dismantling of its nuclear and missile programmes.

프랑스 외교부도 같은 날 성명을 내고 지난 14일과 17일 북한의 미사일 발사를 규탄했습니다.

[프랑스 외교부 성명] “La Corée du Nord a procédé à deux séries de tirs de missiles balistiques de courte portée les 14 et 17 janvier 2022.La France condamne ces tirs et exprime sa vive préoccupation face à la multiplication récente des essais de missiles qui portent atteinte à la paix et à la sécurité internationales et violent les résolutions du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies.”

프랑스 외교부는 “국제 평화와 안보를 해치고 유엔 안보리 결의를 위반하는 북한의 최근 미사일 시험 발사를 규탄하며 깊은 우려를 표명한다”고 밝혔습니다.

[프랑스 외교부 보도자료]” Nous réitérons nos appels à une reprise rapide des négociations dans l’objectif de progresser dans le sens du démantèlement complet, vérifiable et irréversible par la Corée du Nord de ses programmes d’armes de destruction massive et de leurs vecteurs.”

이어 “우리는 북한의 대량살상무기 프로그램과 운반 수단에 대한 완전하고 검증가능하며 되돌릴 수 없는 폐기의 진전을 목표로 한 협상을 조속히 재개해야 한다는 촉구를 재확인한다”고 밝혔습니다.
